Well goodness this week has certainly flown by! Just getting to sit down to write this week's Blog! Hope everyone had a blessed and wonderful Easter weekend! We got to spend some time outdoors and what a great time!

Well one of our BIG NEWS announcements is.........drum roll please......
OUR TOMATO PLANTS ARE HERE!!!!! We brought our heirloom tomato plants over from our greenhouse on Wednesday!! I posted pics and videos all about it! We have VERY limited quantities this year so don't delay and hurry in for best selection!!! We have already started planting in our garden and can't wait to have our heirloom NON-gmo produce available to purchase!!! (I especially LOVE our tomatoes!!!)
Another BIG NEWS announcement is that our Troutt Old Time General Store and Friends cookbook has been officially proofed and the publisher is working on getting them printed and ready to ship out!!! We can't wait for them to be ready for purchase and for you all to enjoy all the tasty recipes!!!!
Speaking of recipes, here is this week's delicious recipe! Hope you enjoy!!!
Waffle Fry Beef Sliders Recipe
Ingredients you will need:
1 lb. ground chuck
1 T. Worcester sauce
2 T. cold water
1/2 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. onion powder
Salt and pepper
Green leaf lettuce
1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
Sliced pickles
Sliced red onion
Sliced Colby-Jack cheese
1 package frozen waffle fries
1/2 cup mayo
1/4 cup chili sauce
1 t. minced garlic
3 T. chopped pickle
2 t. apple cider vinegar
Cook 1 package frozen waffle fries according to package directions. In a bowl, combine 1 lb. ground chuck, 1/2 t. garlic powder, 1/2 t. onion powder, salt, pepper, 2 T. cold water, and 1 T. Worcester sauce. Form the beef into patties roughly the size of the waffle fries. Indent in the middle of each patty with a spoon to ensure even cooking. Cook patties on stovetop for 2 to 3 minutes each side. To make special dipping sauce, combine 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/4 cup chili sauce, 1 t. minced garlic, 3 T. chopped pickle, and 2 t. apple cider vinegar. To make waffle fry sliders, start with a waffle fry on the bottom, then add a piece of lettuce, a slider patty, Colby-Jack cheese, an onion, and another waffle fry. Top with a cherry tomato half and spear together with a toothpick.
Make these amazing Waffle Fry Sliders for a beef slider with an amazing twist! Featuring juicy beef hamburgers sandwiched between salty waffle fries and dipped in a rich special sauce, this slider recipe is the best one around. Make some for dinner and watch them fly off the plate!
